Honda K24 TSX Engine

$34.99

Explore an interactive animated engine on your Windows desktop. Honda K24 TSX Engine represents the architecture of the stock U.S. 2006 Acura TSX K24A2 in an educational 3D model.

Version v1.0 · $34.99 USD

Portable Windows digital download. Customer ZIP — 171.46 MB (171,458,986 bytes; 163.52 MiB).

Follow the moving components

Watch the crankshaft, connecting rods, four pistons and wrist pins move together. Both camshafts, 16 valves and springs, and the rockers are animated. Explore the timing sprockets and chain presentation, accessory pulley and belt-flow animation, and rear flywheel.

Inspect and Exploded View

Inspect exposes the internal mechanisms and can be combined independently with Exploded View. Explode separates organized components while holding the engine root, camera, orientation and zoom fixed. Parts may leave the viewport; pan, orbit and zoom manually as needed. There is no automatic fit. Explosion pauses mechanical motion; reassembly restores the prior running state.

RPM and slow-motion inspection

The slider displays 60–2500 RPM, with IDLE at 850 and a 1500 marker. Animation runs at 60–1000 RPM using a linear mapping: actual animation RPM = 60 + (displayed RPM − 60) × 940/2440. The 60 setting supports slow-motion inspection. Displayed RPM is an educational control, not a claim about the stock engine's operating range.

Manual VTEC / VTC demonstrations

Switch between low/high VTEC lift-profile demonstrations and manual VTC settings of 0 or +20 crank degrees. Cam and rocker motion, VTEC coupling and VTC advance are partly schematic or approximated. These controls do not simulate automatic ECU or hydraulic operation.

Customer controls

  • Click the engine to show compact controls.

  • Left-drag: desktop placement when unlocked. Right-drag: pan. Middle-drag: orbit. Mouse wheel: zoom.

  • E: Explode / Assemble. I: Inspect / complete view. Space: Pause / Resume.

  • R: Reset view in place. L: Lock / Unlock. V: manual VTEC. T: manual VTC.

  • Use the RPM slider for animation speed. Use the X close control to exit.

Desktop placement, view, RPM/pause and lock persist. Reset preserves desktop placement. The window is fixed at 960 × 760 and bounded on smaller displays; window size is not saved. Relaunch uses a single instance.

Windows requirements and first launch

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; OpenGL 3.3-capable graphics and current drivers. Allow at least 400 MB free disk space. Extract the entire ZIP, open the Honda K24 TSX Engine folder and run Honda K24 Engine.exe. Keep Honda K24 Engine.pck and DesktopEngineHost.exe beside the application. The required helper runs quietly with the product and exits when it closes; do not launch it separately.

No Blender or Godot editor, development tools, administrator installation or internet connection is required. Release testing used Windows 11 Home 10.0.26200 with Intel UHD Graphics 630 at 960 × 760. Other hardware is not certified and no frame-rate guarantee is made.

Educational model disclosure

Exterior castings, hidden ports and hydraulics, cam/rocker law, VTEC coupling and VTC advance include approximations. The red valve cover is an owner-selected presentation finish, not the stock 2006 TSX factory color. This is not factory CAD, a manufacturing or service model, or a performance / hydraulic simulation. v1.0 includes no audio, combustion simulation, ECU simulation, oil-flow simulation, or calculated horsepower or torque.

AT A GLANCE

A familiar engine, opened to exploration.

The model represents the K24A2 architecture used in the stock U.S. 2006 Acura TSX. Rotate the assembly, look inside and separate its components to understand how the mechanisms relate.

The transparent desktop presentation lets you place the engine where you want it. Aluminum-gray castings, dark steel components, a black oil pan and the red presentation cover make the parts easy to distinguish.

An educational representation with disclosed approximations. No factory-CAD or manufacturing-accuracy claim.

VISIBLE MECHANICS

Follow the moving components.

The crankshaft, connecting rods and four matching pistons move together, with hollow, flush wrist pins. Both camshafts, 16 valves and springs, and the rockers are animated. Timing sprockets and the chain presentation connect the upper and lower mechanisms; accessory pulley and belt-flow animation and a rear flywheel complete the view.

INSPECT / EXPLODED VIEW

See inside. Separate the assembly.

  • Inspect exposes the internal mechanisms
  • Exploded View separates organized components
  • Inspect and Explode combine independently
  • Pause and resume mechanical motion
  • Pan, orbit and zoom manually
  • Reset returns the view in place

Explode moves the parts while keeping the engine root, camera, orientation and zoom fixed. Some parts may leave the viewport; pan, orbit or zoom to inspect them. There is no automatic fit. Explosion pauses mechanical motion, and reassembly restores the prior running state.

DOHC / VALVETRAIN

Explore the lift and timing demonstrations.

Use manual VTEC controls to switch between low and high lift-profile demonstrations. Manual VTC offers 0 or +20 crank-degree settings.

Cam and rocker motion, VTEC coupling and VTC advance are partly schematic or approximated. These are educational demonstrations; they do not simulate automatic ECU or hydraulic operation.

RPM / SLOW MOTION

Slow down to see the mechanism.

The slider displays 60–2500 RPM, with IDLE at 850 and a 1500 marker. Actual animation runs at 60–1000 RPM, mapped linearly from the display. Use the 60 setting for slow-motion inspection.

Display and animation are different scales.

Animation RPM = 60 + (displayed RPM − 60) × 940 / 2440

Displayed RPM is an educational control, not the stock engine’s operating range. v1.0 includes no audio.
